The American Language Program offers a unique educational and cultural experience. Columbia offers all of these features: • An Ivy League university experience • A world-class faculty • A historic campus in Manhattan • A serious academic program at the forefront of English language education The Intensive English Program offers 12-week and shorter courses focused on English grammar, pronunciation, fluency, listening and reading comprehension, and writing. A three-term program combines ALP courses with credit-bearing Columbia University courses and is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to succeed in an undergraduate degree program at Columbia University or any other American university.
